My “Island Guy” and the love of my life has gone to be with his dad whom he has never seen. Jim Greene passed away from a heart attack Friday afternoon at the age of 71, November 6, 2015. We were on our way to Germany for a memorial for his dad who was shot down during WW II.
Jim was bigger than life; loved the Caribbean especially St. Croix. Life with Jim was one big very fun adventure; motorcycles, yachts, ski boats, hot rods, Gertrude’s Pizza, Street Rods Forever and travel.
He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Phyllis; mother, Catherine Taggart; brother, Michael Taggart (Susan) and their children Lexie and Ian; son, Pat Greene (Melissa), grandkids, Anthony and Mason; and ex-wife, Sandy Nason; along with Uncle Bud (Phyllis); and cousins, Zack Collier, Vicki Reed, and Julie Petru numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
Jim’s Very Full Life will be celebrated Caribbean Style from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the family’s home fondly known as Greene Acres. Wear your favorite “island” shirt.
In lieu of flowers or contributions, please hug your family and tell them how much you love them.
“Faith is about everything turning out OK; Faith is about being OK no matter how things turn out.”
I love you honey, Phyllis.
