Edd attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for over 20 years as an Engineer in the High Tech Industry.
He was preceded in death by his father, Verle Glen Whittington.
He is survived by his wife Kathi Whittington; mother, Pauline Whittington; sons, Evin Whittington and Eric Whittington; stepdaughter, Kristen Partida and husband, John and stepdaughter, Jenni Dawson and husband, Matthew; siblings, Mark Whittington and wife, Virginia, Kathleen Hayes Whittington, Carol Williams, John Whittington, and Mike Whittington and wife, Paige; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2012 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Edd to Hospice Austin or the Austin Food Bank.
