

After a long and worthwhile life Jane Addison passed away peacefully of natural cause on Friday, June 22, 2007, at Carestone Assisted Living of Austin. Jane Elizabeth Speedy was born in Jefferson City, Missouri on May 11, 1915 and as a child moved to a farm near Crystal City, Texas. It was there she married H. Mills Addison and they raised their family. Jane was a charming, lively and loving lady. After retirement, she and Mills moved to Austin where she was active in St. Ignatius, and St. Pauls home demonstration club and sewing classes. She created wearable art with ultra-suede appliqués and enjoyed selling her designs at craft shows, bazaars, and boutiques. Her other interest was keeping a beautiful yard with many blooming plants. She was a member of Shady Hollow Garden Club. She resided at the Park at Beckett Meadow before coming to Carestone. She was preceded in death by her husband, H Mills in 1987; and her son, James V. Addison in 1990. Jane is survived by her sons, H. M. Mike Addison, Jr. of Helotes, Texas, John M. Addison of Round Rock, Texas; daughters, Nikki K. Addison of Austin, Texas, Mary J. Becker of San Angelo, Texas, Jane L. Broussard and husband, Vernon of Spring, Texas; sister, Kathy Carr of Eagle Pass, Texas; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves a devoted friend Linda Ray and the compassionate caregivers of Carestone. Remembrance to Jane may be made to Hospice of Austin. Recitation of the Rosary and visitation will be at 7:30 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Assumption Chapel and Mausoleum.
