
Jennie Hayden Ratcliff Magee Jennie Hayden Ratcliff Magee, 96, passed away on May 14, 2008, in Austin. Born and raised near Athens, she lived all her life in Texas, and had lived in Austin since 1953. She was preceded in death in 1985, by her husband of 46 years, James E. Magee. They had worked together for 25 years, owning two businesses both in insurance and also in real estate in Austin. They were avid Longhorn Football fans for many years, traveling to all the games. In her later years, Jennie enjoyed Lady Longhorn basketball, and loved traveling with friends and family. She lived independently in her own home until the age of 93. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Magee Sigwart, and son-in-law Paul L. Sigwart, of Stockton, CA; one son, James Joseph Magee, and daughter-in-law Joan Torrence Magee of Houston; also by former daughter-in-law Karen Kemper Magee of Houston; five grandchildren: Martha Sigwart Rogers of Castro Valley, CA; John Sigwart of St. Louis, MO; Molly Magee Roberts of Ft. Worth; Charles Magee of Marysville, WA; and Katy Magee of Boise, ID; plus seven great-grandchildren: Tyler and Amanda Rogers, Abigail and Davis Magee, Josephine and Stephanie Sigwart, and Jack Roberts. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at 2:00 p.m.. at St. John's Methodist Church, 2140 Allandale Rd., Austin.
