Jennifer Joyce Johnson-Ferraro passed away on July 15, 2009. "JJ" was born in Fort Worth on April 26, 1972. She lived in Austin from the time she was four years old. JJ graduated from Westwood High School and Texas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Child Development. JJ will be forever loved by her husband Pete Ferraro; their daughter Lillianna; her parents Tom Johnson and Mary Johnson; her brothers Jesse and Tommy; her nieces Ashley, Amy, Andi and Cienna; her nephews Austin and Christian; and her sister-in-law Tammy Johnson. She will be missed by her close friends Tricia Bettis Schmitz and her husband Michael and her friend Elsa Vaughn. Jennifer was a loving mother and a wonderful teacher. She will be missed by the three year old class at Westoak Woods Baptist Pre-school. After her daughter and her students, JJ had a passion for tennis and traveling and often combined the two. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar. Services will be held in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 followed by burial at Austin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Austin Recovery Center.
