In 1975, Mr. Lagunas married Joyce Manz in Austin, TX.
Mr. Lagunas worked as an auto mechanic for several businesses, and also ran his own auto repair shop for 40 years. In addition, he spent 15 years as a part-time Auto Mechanic Instructor at Austin Community College, where his students loved and admired him.
He was preceded by his parents, Jesse and Janie Lagunas, Sr. and brother John Lagunas and son, Jesse Lagunas, III.
He is survived by his sister Julia Banda (Alex) and children: Mary Esther Veloria (John); Gloria Lagunas Salazar (Juan); Sylvia Lagunas; Deanna Lagunas (Vincent); Bryan Lagunas (Jennifer); Chris Lagunas and 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren he loved.
Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Funeral services on December 11, 2025, starting at 12:00 pm located at: Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704. Burial site: Live Oak Cemetery, 10739 Twin Creek Road, Manchaca, TX 78652.
