

Beloved Jessie Marie Marshall Davis was born August 19, 1932 to the late Jessie James Marshall and Ida Smith in Austin Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Sisters Ida Nell Marshall and Geneva Shouvely. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at a very early age and united with David Chapel Baptist Church. She went to be with The Lord on Saturday, February 22, 2014.
She attended public schools in Austin, Texas and was a graduate of Old Anderson High School. She retired from Brackenridge Hospital after many years and was a loved and respected employee.
So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, she had a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience and she took care of her family and her daughter.
Our Beloved Jessie leaves to cherish her memory the following; her brother James Marshall, niece Rhonda Musgrove and her sons Anthony and Kevin of Austin, TX; niece Marchel Shouvely of Roanoke, Virginia (Kevin); Step Children, George Boyd of San Mateo, California, Dr. Malinda Boyd, (Alan) of Germantown MD, Junko Ritari, (Alan) of Honolulu, Hawaii; Sister-in- law Stella Wells; Cousins Norma Jones and Elmira Franklin, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and her beloved Best Friend Mrs. Royce Wilson, Daughter Vicki Lynn Davis and a host of relatives and friends.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 28th of February 2014, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 1st of March 2014, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
