Jesus Manuel Valenzuela

Jesus M. Valenzuela. Passed away on Friday, May 30th 2025. He was 64 years of age. He lived in Austin, Texas from 1993 until his passing. Jesus loved the City of Austin and all the beauty it has to offer.

He is survived by his sisters Olivia, Alicia, Bertha, Elpidia, Lupe, Benita,Magdalena, and Isabel, brothers Gonzalo and Alejo, nieces and nephews Cesar, Claudia, Luis, Michael, Jason, Aime, Noel, Bianca, Aaron, Alicia, Elea and other family members.

Jesus was born September 1, 1960, in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Reyes Valenzuela and Leandra Medrana.

Jesus graduated with a degree in Optometry in 1983 from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua Mexico. In 1993 he graduated with a degree in Microbiology from Odessa College. He dedicated his career as a microbiologist working for a Texas state laboratory for the last 26 years.

Jesus was a lover of physical fitness, the outdoors, music, chess, literature, cooking and cuisine.

Jesus will be remembered forever in our hearts as a loving brother and devoted uncle and for his caring ways, warmth and natural smile and accepting nature.

Rest in Peace “Flaquito” - his childhood nickname given to him by his sisters.

A memorial celebration for Jesus will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78752.
