Jimmie Joe Parker, age 85, passed away on January 18, 2017. Jimmie was born on November 9, 1931 to Blueford and Zula Parker in Ulvade, Texas. Betty Jo his loving wife passed away on December 15, 1991. They met and courted at Aunt Pearl Café in Hondo, Texas. They were married there as well.
Jimmie was a generous loving son, husband and father. A man who would offer you the shirt off his back.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 39 years Betty Jo and his brothers: Jack, Jay, Charles and his grandson DonDon.
He is survived by his children: Jackie, Jim (Debbie), Ronnie, and Tammie, 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and many friends.
A gathering with the family will take place on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752.
