Jimmy Ellsworth Wilkerson, age 83, died January 23, 2007 in Austin, TX. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Burial: In the family plot at Arwine Cemetery in Hurst. Visitation: The family will receive friends prior to the service. Jim was born in Hurst, Texas, the youngest child of Lige and Mae Wilkerson. He lived his entire life in the Hurst, Bedford, and Fort Worth area, until June 2006, when he and his wife moved to Austin, making their home in Onion Creek with their son and daughter-in-law, David and Liz Willson. Papa Jim was known by his family and friends as a lifelong steadfast friend. In his last hours the beautiful friends at Christopher House were a blessing to all of us. Survivors: He is survived by wife, Sydneyanna; stepson, David M. Willson and wife Liz; step grandchildren, Sarah Willson of Houston, and Rachael Rowley and husband, David, of San Marcos; sister, Evelyn Fitch George of Bedford; nephews, Randy Fitch of Austin, Bill Wilkerson of Garland; nieces, JoEllen Anderson of North Richland Hills, Martha Ann Bell of Colleyville, and Jean Gaylen Jackson of Dallas; plus several cousins in Indiana; and many, many wonderful friends from many places!.
