
I am so sorry that it took so long to find you....and to know that I didn't let you know how much you meant to me is very painful.  I still remember moving in across the street from you, for I found my first friend.  I have so many great memories of our childhood together....seeing your picture, brings tears to my eyes.  That is what I remember...the smile and happy person that you were.  You and your family meant the world to me, and I wish I was able to let you know how you were such a blessing in my life.  Thanks for all of the fun and meaningful days we had as children.  So many happy memories.  Your parents were like my second parents...I will always be remember how much they did for me.  You are missed.....

My last day with jo was the Steeler cowboy party she threw.There was about 4 minutes left and we were down by 3 points and i took her a side and said "hey we need to do a little hometown mojo." so we wiggled our fingers together,closed our eyes and i asked her "did you feel that?" she nodded yes. we proceeded back to the tv and the next play Vinny T. fumbled and the rest is true history. its been over two months and my tears still easily fall. i would like to thank George and Ruth for bringing Jo into this world and apoligize for thier loss.                                                                                                                                                                                        jo's birth was an unexpected surprise to her family, her passing is an unexpected ending. its the epidemy of the good die young.it was an honor to have known her,i will miss her dearly.by for now jo and thanks for being my steeler bud.

I met Jo shortly after I moved to Austin from Los Angeles in 1994, she had just moved to Austin also, Denise and I shared some good times with Jo and after a couple years we went in different directions and I would see her or talk to her from time to time. I will never forget her smiling face and her positive outlook on life, she will be missed. My prayer to God is that he will allow quick healing, comfort and peace in the family and close friends.



Dear Jack, George, Ruth, Jeannie and Jim,    Jo was an incredible person. She took the time to include all people in her world. She made everyone feel special and she was an inspiration to live up to. We were priviledged to know her and treated like family. Her zest for living made every meeting we had like an adventure. The day Jo walked into my office for the first time, I knew I'd met someone special. We worked together at Grace House for 3 years and during that time I saw a truly genuine person who loved bringing fun and laughter to the residents and staff!  She liked to bring her family and friends to help with activities and what a Kentucky Derby party she put together!  A truly unique and loving friend who loved life. Missed by G.H. buddies!

I am a Stephen Minister at Riverbend Church, and worked with Jo in bringing worship services to Grace House.  I want the family to know that I admired so much her dedication to the residents at Grace House and her energy and enthusiasm in making it a wonderful place for them to live.  She was kind and gentle to everyone there and yet she was assertive in making sure the residents got out of their rooms and participated in the world around them.  She gave to others in so many ways and we were all very fortunate to have known her.  I personally loved her friendliness, her helpfulness, and her down to earth manner in dealing with me.  I enjoyed her voice messages at work when she would say:  "Robin, it's Jo at the Grace House."  I will keep the family in my prayers and want you to know that the Stephen Ministers at Riverbend are all praying for you.

The first time I meet Jo, I had the privilege of being her partner at a PWT tournament and from that day on we became friends. Jo never met a stranger. My memories of her will be her smiling eyes, always with a hint of mischief, flashing smile, warm hugs and unmistakable laugh. I feel privileged to have known her. Jack, my thoughts are with you in this sad time.



I would like to send out my condolences to Jack, Jo's family and anyone who was a part of her life. I have only meet Jack and Jo a couple of times, but both of them made me and my wife feel like part of the group immediately. There was something special about Jo, and you knew it the moment you laid your eyes on her. She had a smile that drew you in and when she would talk to you, she wanted to know about you. Her laugh was also very infectious. She will be missed very much by all, but shell be teaching the angels in Heaven how to smile. God Bless you Jack
