WITH A BROKEN HEART: On July 19, 2020, a great person was called to Heaven. I'll remember you (JoAnne) long after this endless summer is gone-I'll be lonely-oh so lonely-I'll remember you. (IRU) ...Your voice as soft and warm as the summer breeze.... This beautiful Hawaiian song more than any other speaks of a love that was fought for and won over obstacles that other people would have given up to.
JoAnne and I went back to beautiful Hawaii-the island of Oahu, for our 50th Anniversary, 27 years ago. We lived there for three outstanding years in 1964 - 1967. So, this beautiful Hawaiian song will always remind me of the only person that had my complete heart and soul. Today with great sorrow, I think of the lost opportunities we experienced because of her illness. However, I will always relish the joy of her warmth, love, devotion, support, and the best friend I could have ever had.
I thank God for giving to me such a perfect person from all the people from this marvelous earth. Many people profess that their marriage was made in Heaven. I propose that our marriage was conceived by our Father in Heaven in the Garden of Eden, because it was so pure. Again I thank the almighty for the blessings of the six wonderful children she gave me and the many years of pure bliss.
JoAnne Jackson Morris, spouse of Lt. Colonel Miguel H. Morris, Air Force Retired, passed away after years of complications with COPD. JoAnne was born in a little town of Hanna, Wyoming on November 20, 1933. Her family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she completed her high school education in 1952 at West High School. JoAnne, was a friend to all, never had a disparaging word to anyone, strong Roman Catholic, wonderful and protective mother, faithful and true wife, and loving daughter to her marvelous mother-Mildred. She lost her father early in life but never stopped praying for him and now she is with her Father Our Lord in Heaven and with her family once again.
At West High, I met the love of my life and had someone to share my love of boxing, cross country, and track. Our love blossomed so the engagement ring was presented at the awards ceremony with the marriage to follow during my sophomore college year in 1953. The first of six children Michael was born in 1955. Following graduation, a USAF commission, degree, and the first technical school in Colorado, Debra, the second child was born. A three tour in Jolly ole England honored us with Raye Anne and David. Later, in South Carolina Mark and Maria were born and our family had finally stabilized. Because of God’s grace, she is survived by: Michael, Debra, Raye Anne, David, Mark, Maria, their spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
There is not enough paper or computer bytes to list JoAnne Jacksons attributes. Suffice it to say she was one of a kind spouse, a loving and caring mother-grandmother-great grandmother. My darling "honey bumps"- I loved you then, I love you now, I will love you forever and a day. May God our Father, give me strength to carry on without you.
Your loving husband, Miguel.
