John Kenneth Burchard

He was stricken with Polio in his early 20s, and was confined to a wheel chair for the remainder of his life. John led a full and productive life in the civilian aircraft flight instrumentation repair and checkout occupation. He retired in 1997, and spent his remaining years building and repairing items for his nephews and nieces whom he loved.

John is preceded in death by his Mother Wilma C. Burchard and Father Owen C. Burchard.

John is survived by His Sister Carolyn B. Beardslee, Brother-in-law Robert F. of Austin, TX, Nephew William K. Beardslee and Wife Ann of Rockwall, TX,

Nephew Robert A. Beardslee and wife Kim of Peyton, Co., Niece Cynthia E. Beardslee of San Diego, Ca. and Niece Kristi Lynn Blazine and Husband Bruce of Houston, TX.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the evening, on Friday, the 27th of February 2015, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.

Graveside service will be conducted at 2:30pm in the afternoon on Saturday, the 28th of February 2015, at Austin Memorial Park, 2800 Hancock Drive, Austin, Texas, under the direction of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.
