

Our beloved Johnny "Juan grande" Aguilar Soriano left this world on Friday, Sept 4, 2015, to be with his Lord and Savior, at the age of 80. Juan grande was born on September 28, 1934 in Austin, Texas to Santiago and Luisa Soriano. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Luisa Soriano; his sons, Johnny Edward Sr., John Anthony; and his daughter, Raquel; three brothers, Jimmy, Abel, and Amado Sr.; three sisters, Ruth Ortiz, Dionisia Martinez, and Antonia Saldana.
He is survived by his two daughters, Virginia Sanchez (Ben), Sylvia Soriano Muraida; his three sons, Bobby Sr.(Debbie), Santiago Sr., and Amado; his two sisters, Mary Arreola, Raquel Luna; and his brother, Clemente. Also leaving behind to cherish his memory, are his many adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and friends. He will be truly missed.
Juan was a retired welder, specializing in fabrication. He worked for many years at Modern Supply Company in Austin, and many years for PeterBilt in Dallas. In his younger years Juan grande loved to work on his cars, and was an excellent mechanic as well. He was baptized at Templo Bethal Church and was currently a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church for 30 years.
We want to extend our gratitude for the excellent care that was given to our father by his primary physician Dr. Saritha Pothuluri, his cardiologist, Dr. Paul Roach, his caregiver, Virginia Sanchez and his friend Aurelia Hernandez.
Visitation and a Christian Service will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress.
Funeral Service at 10:00 am Friday, September 11, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel, with Pastor Luis McCartney and Pastor Poldrack from Bethal Assembly of God Church officiating the Christian Service.
