Josh Rodriguez

I lost my only son on October 19, 2015, at the age of 33. He was a sweet loving soul that meant no harm to anyone. He was an only child and loved the idea of big families. He relished belonging to a tribe, whether it was his many friends, or his partner, Chrissy's large family.

Special thanks to his "bros" Tito Sauceda, Joseph Lopez, Mark and Felix Morales, Cody Escobar, Travis and Pat Trotter, Chris Crossland, Jonny Hamm, "sis" Hannah Fussel, and the many others that are too numerous to name. Thank you all for enriching his life. To his partner, Chrissy Hughes and her children, Maddie and Christopher, and her extended family in San Antonio Donna and Glenn Ramirez, thank you for loving him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tony Rodriguez; grandfather, Audon J. Rodriguez.

Josh is survived by his mom, Valerie Amaro and his step-dad, Mike Amaro;, his step- sister, Michele (Rick) Martin; by his loving grandmothers, Minerva V. Rodriguez and Emma Berry; his uncles, Roland Rodriguez, David, Mike, Daniel Berry; aunts, Emma (Fred) Carrington, Paula (Larry) Monks, Laura (Fred) Ochoa; cousins, Sunny Hahn, Cristi Arthur, Douglas and Steven Monks.

Rest in peace mi hijo, you weren't supposed to go before me kiddo, I love you, I'll see you on the other side.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress, with Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 pm.
