Jovita Tello, 80, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2009. She was born on February 15, 1929 in Dale, Texas to the late Francisco and Leonor Tello. Jovita was a life long resident of Austin. She was preceded in death by brother, Canuto Tello; sisters, Luisa Tello, Leonarda Montoya, Julia Hernandez and Juanita Ybarra. Jovita is survived by her brother, Frank (Irene) Tello; nephews, Jose (Irma), Pete (Alice), Reuben (Alicia), Edward (Melissa) Montoya; and beloved grand-niece, AnnaLisa Montoya; many nieces and nephews; cousins and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Gilbert Tello, Andy Montoya, Pete Tello, Andy Tello, Edward Montoya, Reuben Montoya. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at San Jose Catholic Church with Father Tom Frank officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
