She had one sibling Jerry Meredith 1947-2016. She is survived by a niece Erin Allyse and nephew William Kyle and many grand nieces and nephews; Isaac, Evan, Adyn, Addison, Abigail and Annabel.
Joyce retired from the Health Department after 51 years of service to the state of Texas. She loved her family, friends, flowers, animals and church. She was a member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church and helped feed the homeless every Sunday. Joyce was a volunteer and member of many care teams at Christopher House Austin. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending countless hours shopping for clothes, toys and gifts to shower on her nieces and nephews. But it did not stop there, she bought coats and bikes for kids, fans for the elderly and food and supplies for the homeless.
