on November 25, 1933. She passed away suddenly and unexpectedly
after a brief illness on March 14, 2010 in Austin, Texas.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Pete Moringy, sisters Mildred Chaffin, Giene McDonald, Juanita Sanderson, and her twin Loyce Chapman.
She is survived by her son Chris and wife Cindy and their children Lindsey and Kelsey, and by her son Greg, all of Austin, Texas. She is also survived
by her close companion Joe Hopson, as well as many other family members
and friends.
Joyce loved life, enjoyed her grandchildren, all of her dogs and playing bridge
with her friends. Joyce was actively involved with the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Senior Activity Center, Tejas Republican Women’s Club, Order of the Eastern Star, and Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010,
in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home at 6100 N.Lamar,
Austin, Texas.
