Julia R. Penalver was the daughter of Juliana Garcia and Guadalupe N. Rodriguez. She was married to Pvt. Joe V. Penalver, a WWII Veteran who was killed in enemy action in 1944. Julia kept her ‘promise’ to Joe and never remarried.
Ms. Penalver was a member of the St. Albert the Great Catholic Church and a Lifetime Member of the Disabled Veterans League and the local VFW Chapter 8787. Her passion for cross word puzzles and dominoes befuddled many a friendly dialogue with her greatest strength, the Love for her Great-Grand Children.
Preceded in her death was her loyal husband, Joe V. Penalver, who was killed during WWII and loving mother, Juliana Garcia.
