

K Mikhael Floeter Mikhael Floeter, born in Dallas on June 22, 1975, passed away at her home in Austin on October 16, 2004. Family and friends were at her bedside as she lost her hard fought battle with breast cancer. Mikhael moved to Austin in 1980. She played soccer, enjoyed Girl Scouts, danced with great joy with Shirley McPhail Studios, attended Bowie High School and danced with the Silver Stars. She attended Richland College in Dallas and Austin Community College. Mikhael loved children. She was a classroom assistant at Westlake Methodist Preschool each summer as a teenager, and taught there full time until she started working in advertising. Mikhael joined the GSD&M advertising agency in June, 1999 and quickly became a media buyer for them. Mikhael enjoyed working in her garden and caring for Lucy, her dog, and Iris and Jack, her cats. She loved most of all spending time with her valued friends and family. Mikhael began working for The Race For The Cure operations committee in November, 1999. She was a volunteer in the fight against breast cancer, working for the Susan G. Komen Foundation even before she was diagnosed with the disease in June, 2003. Mikhael is survived by her mother Mikki Griffith and her stepfather Eric Jonjak, her father and stepmother John and Shirley Floeter, sister Kirsten Davis, brother Joshua Floeter, niece Sydney Davis, nephew Dakota Floeter, grandparents Marlin Griffith and Yvonne Richards, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Mikhaels special friends Tracy Arrington, Kyle Verr, Tatum Brown, Jason Davis, and Tara and Chris Ford provided wonderful help and comfort. GSD&M and Mikhaels coworkers gave generous and devoted support throughout her illness. The family is grateful for the extraordinary care and help Mikhael received during her illness from Dr. Demetrius Loukas and the staff at the Southwest Regional Cancer Center, the nurses and staff at Seton 7 North, Dr. Patricia Morrison, Dr. Shannon Cox, and Hospice Austin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, PO Box 2164, Austin, TX 78768.
