Kat McDaniel Walden

Kat was born on October 29, 1984 in Houston, Texas to Julia Hard McDaniel and James Gifford McDaniel. She was a graduate of Katy High School, class of 2003.

She was the Assistant Director at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

She honored our fallen veterans and their families with grace, compassion, respect and dignity. Kat was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and co-worker. She cherished her family above all else and her greatest pride and joy were her daughters. Her laughter and her smile brought joy to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Trey Walden. daughters Sophia and Ramsey, stepdaughters Gracie and Paige, her mother Julia McDaniel, brother Ken Lince and wife Cathy, sister Lori Wegleitner her husband Kevin and her nephews Weston, Tyler, Trevor, Gavin and Garrett.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday March 17 at 1pm with visitation starting at 12pm. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to a memorial fund to benefit Kat’s daughters, Ramsey (2) and Sophia (11) at Frost Bank 1450 E Whitestone Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613 Account # 591839330.
