He was preceded in death by his parents, James Vinson Chapman and Alice Lenna Hardwick Chapman.
Keith is survived by his wife of 46 years, Reyna Chapman; daughter, Mary Alice Moon husband Richard; son, James Vinson Chapman II; grandchildren, David and his spouse Rachael, Sarah Moon and William Moon; his brothers, Ronald Ross Chapman and wife Josie, Donald Royce Chapman and wife Linda, Doyle Vinson Chapman and wife Laura, William Edward Chapman and wife Linda; special nieces, Sofia Harber Bowden and Victoria Harber Foster; and a host of other nieces and nephews. Following his brothers he moved to Austin in 1965 where he met his wife while working as manager of Rio Grande House Apartments. He took great pride in his work. While still in Lamesa he worked as an usher at the only movie theater "The Palace" where he earned a reputation for himself. Later he learned drafting from his older brother Ronald and became an electrical draftsman for Page Southerland Page where he later retired after many years. He also enjoyed working as office manager with his brothers at Don Chapman Motor Sales.
Being a true west Texan, he never forgot a name or a face and though having MS for many, many years and being wheel chair bound in the later years of his life he continued to make friends where ever he went. He was a sentimental soul and loved old movies. We will miss his witty and sarcastic sense of humor, fruit salad, and world famous banana pudding.
