

Letitia Keith (Tish) Scudday, long-time Austin resident, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones Thursday, December 21, 2006, after a long illness. Born in Wichita Falls, TX, December 29, 1923, she graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, remained an avid Longhorn fan and was an active member and volunteer at St. David's Episcopal Church and Next-to-New Shop in Austin. A world traveler, Tish toured Europe, Scandinavia, the Far East, Polynesia, Australia, Russia, Greece and Turkey, among other nations. Tish was a former teacher in Austin public schools, an employee of the Texas State Senate, personnel director for the State Bar of Texas, and also worked for The University of Texas System. Survivors include a son, Roy G. Scudday and his wife, Linda, of Lockhart; daughter, Donna J. Scudday of Fort Davis; grandchildren, Roy Keith Scudday and wife, Stephanie, of Kerrville, John Andrew Scudday of Dallas, Teri Ann Normandin and husband, Robert, of Killeen; and great-granddaughters, Jordyn Drew Scudday and Ava Grace Normandin. She was preceded in death by her parents, George D. Keith, Jr. and Rosalyn Stampfli Keith of Wichita Falls, TX; former daughter-in-law, Brenda Sue Johnson of Lockhart; and was the niece of former Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce president and prominent businessman, the late Ben E. Keith. A memorial service to celebrate Tish's life will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin at 2 p.m., December 27, 2006, and interment will follow at St. David's Columbarium at a later date.
