She was a very talented artist and was a member of the Porcelain Arts Society. Lila was also very active in her church, Berkeley United Methodist Church.
Her survivors are her daughter, Janet Bitner of Austin; four grandchildren and numerous cousins.
Her husband, J.J. Smallwood preceded her in death in 2000.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2011 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with Reverend Jeanne Devine of Berkeley United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
