Lilla Sullivan passed away peacefully on June 2. She was born to James and Betty Bell on August 4, 1951. Lilla grew up in Austin, attended Travis High School, and graduated in the inaugural class of 1969 from Crocket High School. She received her degree from the University of Texas in 1972.
An avid traveler, who was multi-lingual, Lilla worked in the travel and airline industry following college. Subsequently, her keen mind led to a legal career, after graduating from South Texas College of Law in 1980.
Lilla wed Tim Sullivan in 1990. They were inseparable until his passing in 2018. Along with her devotion to Tim and his son, Jordan, Lilla was instrumental in managing her father’s business, Jim Bell Autos, until his passing in 2007. She was an ever-faithful companion to her mother Betty, with whom she traveled extensively, and shared countless lunches and other good times. She loved to entertain, was an accomplished cook, a voracious reader and always game to discuss virtually any topic.
Lilla is survived by her mother, Betty Bell, brother, Dr. Jim Bell, his wife, Suzanne, and their children, McLean (spouse, Taylor), Trevor (fiancee, Juli Rudisel), Jackson and Lara. Surviving members of the Sullivan family are: Jordan; his wife, Ashley; their children, Adam, Mila and Reyna; and sister-in-law and family, Kathleen and Rick Clute (Caitlin, Kristen, and Sean). A special thanks goes out to all other family and friends of Lilla not mentioned here.
