Lillian was born on November 12, 1915 in Brady, Texas, to parents Pat McShan and Myrtle Parker McShan. She graduated from Brady High School.
Lillian was a caring and nurturing woman. While she never had children of her own, she was a mother figure to many. She married William K. Cobb on August 7, 1954 in Brady, Texas. They had homes in Brady and Kingsland, Texas for many years. Upon William’s retirement they moved permanently to Kingsland on Lake LBJ. Lillian was an active woman until her early 90s, gardening, doing yardwork, sewing and doing beautiful handwork. When she was not doing those things, she was reading. She also learned to play piano and organ late in life to be of service to her church, First Baptist Church, Kingsland. She worked in retail into her 80s. She enjoyed meeting the public and easily made friends. Her family and friends will always remember her as a woman of strong faith and a loyal, caring friend or relative.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William K Cobb of Kingsland, her father Pat McShan and mother Myrtle McShan of Brady, and sisters Nadine Oates and Hazel Rutherford and one nephew Rodney Rutherford.
Lillian is survived by her brother Pat McShan of Brownwood, Texas, nieces Ann Wink of Cedar Park, Texas, Patricia Gary of Lohn, Texas, Vickie Hooker of Denton, Kay Seawright of Brady and Cindy Hoffman of Midland. Her only surviving nephew is Pat McShan Jr. of Brownwood, Texas.
A small graveside service for family and close friends was held December 9, 2017 at Live Oak Cemetery in Brady.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses and Hospice at Baylor Scott and White for the care and compassion shown to her in her final days. Donations can be made to your favorite charity in her name.
