Inez New was 95 years old. She married Allen Kenyon New June 10, 1936. They enjoyed a wonderful life together full of love and devotion for over 70 years until his passing in 2006. Beyond her family, gardening was a hobby and music was a very important part of her life. She spent many hours playing the piano, the organ, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and tending to her beautiful yard in the home she loved and lived in for over 60 years in Austin, Texas. She was a great homemaker who created a beautiful and peaceful home and was very happy and content in this role. Inez was raised on a cattle ranch in Lone Grove, she spent her childhood years riding her horse to school with her sister Roena and enjoying the great outdoors. In later years, Inez and Allen traveled back and forth to her family ranch in Lone Grove, Texas where they raised cattle and enjoyed the solace of the beautiful countryside she knew so well. In the living room of this ranch house is where she married her beloved Allen. Their gentle, beautiful and devoted relationship was very special and one that was such an inspiration to friends and family. A storybook love to say the least.
Inez was a member of Saint John’s United Methodist Church. She lived life trusting her faith through the good times and always had joy, love and optimism in her heart even through the hardships she had to endure. She was a precious gift to her family and we will all miss her so very much. Family was everything to her. An emptiness will exist that can only be filled with wonderful memories and the many pictures she took reminding us of her warm and loving ways. She wanted to remember every moment that was special. And for her, they were all special. Every single day we will remember how fortunate our family was to have shared our lives with this wonderful and beautiful gentle spirit whose heart and soul were always in the right place.
