

Linda Crowder, 69, of Edmond, Oklahoma and formerly of Austin, Texas, peacefully passed away at 1:12 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2011. She was born on December 14, 1941 in Eastland, Texas to Floyd and Willie Kirby.
Linda met and married the love of her life Terrell Crowder in Cisco, Texas. They were married on December 28, 1958. In her first 12 years of marriage in support and love for her husband she lived all over the world while Terrell proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. In 1972 they moved to Austin, Texas and shortly thereafter she began her career with the Internal Revenue Service until her retirement in 2001. Linda has been a member of Bethel Assembly of God since her move to Austin in 1972.
Linda will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Terrell Crowder.
Linda is survived by her son, Kenneth Crowder and wife Jackie; daughter, Belinda Simmons and husband Todd; sisters, Joyce Howell and Glenna Preslar and husband Bill; brother, Robert Kirby; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren and numerous other loving family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W. William Cannon Dr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God, 4322 Banister Ln., Austin, TX 78745. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cisco City Cemetery in Cisco, Texas.
