As Ms. Bea's next door neighbor for 30+ years, she oftentimes let me know when her family (children and grandchildren) were coming to visit from all areas of the country - San Antonio, Dallas, Kansas, etc. She very much looked forward to these visits and was appreciative of the time her family took to come spend time with her. As a very pround grandmother, Ms Bea loved to share stories about all of her grandchildren. Please know that Ms. Bea recognized the efforts it took to make these visits and she knew how much she was loved by her family all the days of her life.  Praying that God bless your family with peace and fond memories of a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend.

Ms. Bea was the glue that kept our Austin Crestview neighborhood together. She was a ball of spit fire  with the kind and compassionate heart of sweet and loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend. I had the pleasure of being Ms. Bea's next door neighbor for 30+ years where she watched as my son Duce grew from infancy to his current 21 years of age.  She looked over the neighborhood kids and families, always keeping everyone up to date with her engaging stories. My most vivid memories were watching Ms. Bea and her friends cutting tree branches, tending to her yard, walking her dog Tippy and driving way beyond legal driving age. I could only hope that I would have the energy and gusto that Ms. Bea had when I get to be her age. Ms. Bea was a lifeline of love and will be terribly missed by us all. But I have no doubt she is dancing and having a ball in heaven with Mr. Bill.   

Grandma and Grandpa would take all of the grandkids to Corpus Christi/Port Aransas/North Padre Island every year.  Now, the beach is my favorite place to be.  Grandma would wake up early and go watch the sunrise (but I never wanted to wake up that early myself).  I remember she would open the hotel curtains and sing a good morning tune to us to get the kids out of bed.  The girl cousins really bonded during this time as we didn't live too close to one another.  We would always stop at a Dairy Queen along the way as well! I will always cherish those memories.  ❤️

I know how much you loved your Mother. Her soul is now resting with The Lord and I am sure her husband and puppy are at her side.  May she now be at peace.

She was the best "mama" ever.......She spanked my bottom many times with a small board she used in the wringer washer, and I probably needed more....She cut back on groceries for the family to buy my first baseball glove..... She got me thru college by getting me out of bed in time to get to class.......She kept the front windows spotless, waiting for me to get home from dates.......She got me over my first broken heart. She was a wonderful mother and a great wife to my father. A man could not have been blessed by a better mother. I know that she is once again "complete" with Dad in paradise.

Having been a neighbor of Bea's for 45 years,  I have quite a few memories of her!  The ones that come to mind the most are those of her and her dog, Tippy.  Bea walked Tippy around the neighborhood every morning.  She loved that dog!  Even as age crept up on Bea (and Tippy),  and it became difficult to walk, she still walked Tippy.  It's just that their walks became a little shorter with each passing year.  I would see them out walking even on the coldest winter mornings, Bea in her bright blue, hooded coat walking Tippy!  On many a Sunday afternoon, they would walk up my driveway and Bea would knock on the side of my house and we would visit over my back gate.  Sometimes,  it was to deliver a bowl of her delicious banana pudding to share with me.

Bea loved people, and I will remember her as a caring neighbor and dear friend.
