Loraine Lamb, 89, of Austin, passed away Monday, June 15, 2009. She was born on February 21, 1920 in Georgetown, Texas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amiel Ischy. Loraine lived most of her life in the Austin area. Married to Lester H. Lamb, who preceded her in death. She was an insurance executive for many years, and enjoyed playing in the Skyview Baptist Church Kitchen Band. Survivors include stepdaughter Glenda Gossett of Llano, brother-in-law Weldon (Josie) Lamb of Temple. Other survivors include her grandchildren, and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, stepson Daryl Lamb, brothers, Buford Ischy and Amiel Ischy, sister Margaret Ritchie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Lockhart City Cemetery in Lockhart.
