

Mrs. Lowleta Earle passed away peacefully on January 23, 2015. She was 93 years old. Lowleta was born on July 31, 1921 in Ft. Worth, Texas, the fourth of ten children born to Clara Davidson Muse and John Logan Muse. At 16, she married Charles Cloyd "Bud" Earle. They were married for 63 happy years, until his death in 2001. Lowleta taught kindergarten for twenty years in Ft. Worth. She has resided in Austin since 1983.
Lowleta is survived by her two children: former Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle and his wife Twila Hugley, and Donna Earle Crain and her husband Charles Crain; as well as five grandchildren: Judge Elisabeth Earle and her husband Jeffrey Clark, Jason Earle and his wife Normajean Clara Thompson, Nikki Rowling and her husband Chris Castle, Krystin Crain Johnson and her husband Mike Johnson, and Sara Crain Figueroa and her husband Justin Figueroa. During her final years, the light of her life was her time spent with her three great-granddaughters: Alexandra Leissner, Madeleine Johnson, and Avery Leissner. She is also survived by her sisters Hattie (Shorty) Renegar, and Ruth Fetter, her brother James (Bubby) Muse, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Lowleta's family would like to thank the staff of Stonebridge Health Center for their care, compassion, and friendship during Lowleta's final months.
