She married James Foradory Sr. May 27, 1948 in St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. They were farmers in the Garfield Community and also ran a store and Texaco Station for over 40 years.
Lucille Neel Foradory born to Thomas Howard Neel and Willie Rhodes Neel March 8, 1932 in Garfield, Texas. She passed away on July 5, 2018 in Seton Hospital in Kyle, Texas.
She married James Foradory Sr. May 27, 1948 in St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church in Austin, Texas. They were farmers in the Garfield Community and also ran a store and Texaco Station for over 40 years.
She was a descendant of Henry Neel born 1680 in Ireland. He came to America around 1700’s and settled in PA. He died in 1734 in Cape Fear, Chatham N.C. and his son Col. Thomas Neel Sr. who him and his son’s fought in the Rev. War.
She worked for Del Valle school district for many years, as teachers and librarian aid.
Lucille is survived by James Foradory Jr. (Linda), Charles R., Shirley Gattis (Alvin), Terry W. (Martha deceased), and Patrick D. (Lynn), 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; brothers Buddy Neel and Richard Neel.
Lucille is preceded in death her husband James Foradory Sr., her parents, Thomas Howard Neel and Willie Rhodes Neel and her siblings: Tommy W. Neel, Marjorie Neel Ratliff, Joyce Neel Gattis (Buck), Patsy Neel Ellis (Norman), half-brothers: Dewy, Bay (Jim), Jack and Bill Lingo and a special uncle, Oscar D. Neel (Bud) and Aunt Rosie Neel who helped with the raising of her children.
Active pallbearer will be: Daniel Gattis Sr., August Foradory, Terry Foradory Jr., Christopher James Justice, Robert Foradory and Gary Ellis.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm with Rosary at 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 by Father James Martin at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W Oltorf Street, Austin, Texas 78704. Interment will follow at Haynie Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Texas.
