

Luray June Hall, 84, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 in Austin, Texas. She was born to John Henry Landman and Hattie Bryner Landman in Whitsett, PA. Luray resided in Pennsylvania until her high school graduation and then moved to Washington DC to work in the Pentagon. In June 1955, she married David Hall and they had five children (Jacque, Franklin, Terry, Charles and Glen). As a military wife, Luray traveled and lived in many states. After military life, Luray was co-owner of multiple businesses to include Western Auto, an Exxon gas station, Sun City Coins, Century 21 Real estate, and multiple rental units. Later she worked as a Legal Secretary and finished her career working in the probate court for the State of New Mexico.
In 1993, after her retirement from the state of New Mexico, Luray moved to Austin. She has served faithfully, in many capacities, at Texas Oaks Baptist Church. Luray loved to read, travel, play card games, dominoes, and outings with her friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother/great-grandmother and friend to all. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Luray was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ethel Allison and Theodosia Morgan. She is survived by her sister, Norma Sherlock, her children, Jacque and husband Gary Rodge, Franklin Hall, Terry Hall and his wife Marti, Charles Hall and his wife Rachel, and youngest Glen Hall and his wife Ronnie; grand and great-grandchildren, David Rodge, Laura Rodge Richardson and husband Mike and children Katelyn and Halie, Autumn Rodge, Benjamin Hall, Crisilda Hall and her son Jude, Crisologo Hall, Jacob Hall and wife Tiffany and children Alec and Avery, Steven Hall, Ariana Hall, Brandon Raab-Hall, and Jessica Hall; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Luray’s Life will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Texas Oaks Baptist Church, 9910 Bilbrook Place, Austin, Texas, 78748 with Pastor James Torrey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions to be made in Luray’s memory to Texas Oaks Baptist Church.
