Lynda McCarver Mani Lynda McCarver Mani, age 64, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at her home in Austin, Texas. She was born in Austin and grew up in Hattiesburg, MS where she graduated at the top of her high school class. She received a B.S., with highest honors, from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, where her father, C.E. McCarver, was Vice President. She lived in Abilene for twenty years, serving as a community volunteer in the Junior League and devoting herself to her two children. A gifted artist with a profound intellect, she studied both art and psychology in graduate school at Abilene Christian University and worked as a psychotherapist. Lynda showed a love for animals and humanity, and a generous warmth of spirit, which will always be felt by her many close friends and family. Lynda is survived by her two children, Lisa Mani, M.D. of Tuscaloosa, AL and Marc Mani, M.D. of Los Angeles, CA. She also leaves three siblings, Billye McCarver Currie of Jackson, MS; Clarence McCarver of St. Paul, MN; and Mark McCarver of Hattiesburg, MS.
