
Margaret Burden Weaver Capehart, Mimi, was born November 4, 1921 in Buchanan, Georgia and died peacefully on July 5, 2006 at Arden Courts in Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Minnie Bell Burden, her seven siblings, and her husbands Russell J. Weaver, Sr. and Lucien H. Capehart, Sr. Margaret was deeply loved and will be missed by her children, Russell J. Weaver, Jr. and wife Rose Anne; her daughter Judy Bellsnyder Whitworth and husband Dain; son Lucien H. Capehart, Jr. and wife Dina; and son Ron G. Capehart and partner Joel Wilder; her grandchildren Cheryl King Fries and husband Patrick; Anne Thurmond and husband Scott; Russell J. Weaver, III; Amy Vance and husband David; Luke Bellsnyder and wife Suzanne; and Lily Capehart. She was very proud of her great-grandchildren Claire Fries, Ally Bellsnyder, Bennettt Vance, Copeland Thurmond and McKellar Thurmond. Also surviving Margaret are extended family Hugh and Jackie Bennett, their family, and Paul and Lisa Whitworth, and dear friends Mary and Elof Soderberg. Margaret lived most of her adult life in Austin and worked in the apparel industry with her husband Luke. Together, they traveled much of the U.S. in their motorhome. She loved nothing more than cooking for and entertaining her family and friends, and many people enjoyed wonderful times around her chopblock at her home in Balcones Country Club. Margaret had a quick wit and loved regaling her friends with wonderful stories and Southern cooking. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Arden Courts and to Dr. Mark Burr. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
