Margaret Christine French

Margaret French died October 23th 2012, in Austin, Texas, and joined for all eternity her beloved husband who died on August 24th. She was born July 29th, 1923, in Oakland, California, and was the daughter of Captain Henry Hemple, Chief of the Division of Geodesy for the USCGS, and Margaret Isabel Dowling. She grew up in Washington, DC and married Lieutenant Frank "Jerry" French in 1946. After he finished his PhD at MIT, they moved to Wilmington, Delaware. From 1989 through 2010 they lived in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where their love seemed to deepen every year. She was very active in the Catholic Church as Eucharistic Minister and in volunteer work.

She is survived by her brother William Hemple, as well as her daughter Christine, sons Mark and Steven, and 5 grandchildren

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, the 29th of October, 2012 from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock in the evening, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home with the reciting of the Rosary beginning at 7 o'clock in the evening.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 30th of October, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin, Texas
