On March 9, 2018 Margarita Wolleben passed from this earth and into the hands of our Heavenly Father at the age of 80. A resident of Austin Texas for the past 35 years, she was born to Arcadio and Eustolia Mandujano on April 28, 1937 in Celaya Mexico.
Margarita is survived by her daughters Monica Volz and Adriana Orta and sons Alex, Mark, Mike and Stephen Wolleben. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Jordan Wolleben, Rachel Wolleben, Ronald Wolleben, Isabella Orta, Nicolas Orta, Chloe Orta of Austin, TX, and Oliver Volz of San Francisco, CA; as well as son- and daughter-in-law, Matt Orta and Denise Wolleben, both of Austin, TX.
Margarita and her late husband James were active members of St. Theresa's Catholic Church since 1983 where Margarita participated in many of the programs offered by the church, some of which include teaching Catechism, Caritas, Rosary for Peace, The Legion of Mary, weekly masses for the elderly (nursing home masses) and The Prison Prayer Ministries.
The family would like to thank the Care Givers that supported Margarita over the course of her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Austin at HospiceAustin.org and the American Cancer Society.
The viewing will be held on March 12 at 5:00pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00pm at Cook- Walden Funeral Home located at 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church at 1:00pm (4311 Small Dr. Austin, TX) on March 13.
