Born November 28, 1921, in Lubbock, Texas, Marilyn Joy Fulford, loving wife, mother, and grandmother lost her life on April 4, 2010 at the Monte Siesta Nursing Home in Austin. She had been living with Alzheimers for many years. Marilyn was preceded in death by daughter Judy Ann, son John Charles, and husband George H. Fulford Sr. She is survived by sons George Jr. and his wife Patty, Robert Allan and his wife Judy and John's wife Vicki. She is also survived by grandchildren Rob, Traci, Tommy, David, and Scott, and 8 great grandchildren. Joy, also known as Memaw, loved spending time with her family at the coast and the outdoors, or traveling with her husband on their annual trip to Alaska in their motor home. The family wishes to thank Monte Siesta Nursing Home for their care and compassion. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, North Lamar. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
