

Jeff was born July 16, 1927, in Forth-Worth Texas to parents Charlie Butler and Gertrude Hollomon Butler. He worked as a self-employed custom cabinet maker and he was also skilled in the trade of heating and air conditioning repair. He was a hard-working man and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed woodworking, leather crafting, and clock making. His family and friends will remember him as a storyteller and jokester who was always whistling a tune.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 56 years, Doris Butler; his eldest daughter, Susan Arnold (Mike); middle daughter, Trisha Henfey (Glenn); and son, Daniel Butler; eight grandchildren, Todd Zapata, Amanda Gruesbeck, Allyson Rodriguez (Alex), John Arnold (Emily), Hunter Henfey (Holly), Tanner Henfey and Griffin Butler; also four great-grandchildren, Austin Gruesbeck, Avery Gruesbeck, Hector Rodrigues, Naomi Rodriguez, and coming soon, Baby Arnold.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday, February 25, 2022, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. Visitation will start at 10:00 A.M and the service will be officiated by Dr. Mike Fritz at 11:00 A.M. The Graveside service will be held at Cook- Walden Capital Parks, 1450 N. Interstate Hwy. 35, Pflugerville, Texas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jeff’s life.
The family would like to thank all staff of Sundara Senior Living and Memory Care especially Karen Jones, Care Manager, and Kelly Hudson, Executive Director. Also, we would like to thank Debra Simpson, Encompass Health Hospice nurse; Lisa Landen; Encompass Health Hospice Social Worker; and Dr. Mike Fritz, Encompass health Hospice, Chaplin. They made Jeff’s last days happy and joyful. They were all true blessings in his life.
