Mr. Mark Christopher Garza

Mark is survived by his parents, Dora Alicia Garza and Alexander B. Garza, brother Randy and wife, Ana, his beloved niece Alyssa and nephew Derek Garza. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was an amazing grace given to us by God. His kindness and generosity affected all that were fortunate to know him. Mark was a true Austinite who attended McCallum High School, and was the owner/operator of P.C. Logic Computer Repairs. Mark was a loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. As often as possible, he enjoyed dining at Elgin’s Southside

Market. His leisure pursuits included woodcarving and furniture making which he enjoyed.

Pallbearers will be Louis Rocha Jr., Keith Helmers, Greg Alaniz, Danny Alvarez, Ernest Garza, and Adrian Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Lara, Shayne Bennett, Scott Thompson and Derek Garza.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary in Mark’s honor will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 4311 Small Drive, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

The family extends sincere and special thanks to UMC Brackenridge, Shivers Cancer Center, and the Austin Cancer Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark’s memory to the American Cancer Center and/or the parish at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.
