Mark Patrick Shurish, age 29, of Bertram, passed away in June 2010. He was a very unique man who was exceedingly talented at anything he tried to do or put his mind into doing. He was intelligent beyond his years and whenever he was around people, you could see the wheels turning in his head…a true mastermind. Stephanie Bakos, a true friend of Mark’s from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, said that “the ladies loved him, and the men wanted to be him.” He worked as a roofer and craftsman and was an amazing artist. He and Kelli loved to spend time together and enjoyed playing pool.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kelli Ann Lee-Shurish, of Bertram, and formerly of Austin and their son, Seth Dean Lee-Shurish; his daughter, Kayli G Shurish, and her mother Amber; his son, Adrian McLean, and his mother, Kristi McLean; parents, Mitzi and Jim Dube and his brothers, John, Joey, and Jimmy Dube, all of Hubbell, Michigan; his biological father, Dennis and siblings, Nikki and Paul of Michigan; his uncle Jim and aunt Cindy and their children, all of Detroit, Michigan. He is also survived by his loving and devastated grandmother, Donna Shurish of Shelby Township, Michigan. He has many, many friends and family throughout Michigan and Texas who will all miss him.
A tribute from his wife, Kelli…”I have never been loved or so deeply wanted by anyone as much as my husband, Mark Patrick Shurish. Although he never got to meet our son, I know he is here watching over us every day. I love you and will join you again one day. My Love, My Life, My Husband.”
