

Mary Alice Bacon was born on June 23, 1943, to William and Louise Bacon in Austin Texas, being the fifth child of seven. She attended the Austin public schools and graduated from Old Anderson High School in 1961. During that time Mary was a Jackette (hence her love for dance).
Mary worked for the original Seton hospital on West 26th Street. She moved with Seton to the new location on 38th street. Mary worked for labor and delivery for over 40 years. She retired to help care for her mother. During her time there she touched many lives, creating a lasting impact on those around her.
Mary accepted Christ at an early age joining the Sweet Home Baptist Church (Clarksville Community) and later joined the St. Peters Baptist Church where she was baptized in the Colorado river. She joined the Rosewood Avenue Baptist Church with her family. In which she was a very active member of Mission I. Mary attended Rosewood Avenue until her health no longer allowed her.
She was preceded in death by her son Albin Donuel Johnson her parents William and Louse Bacon, her brother Albin Bacon, William Louis Bacon, and two sisters Martha Williams and Annie Govan.
Mary is survived by her two sisters Helen Smith (Alex) of San Antonio, Texas, sister Gwendolyn Miller of Pflugerville, Texas. Her goddaughters Michele White Anthony, Patrice Martin and godson Charles Anthony White. A devoted niece Terri Bacon Martin. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews and cousins along with other friends. A devoted church member and friend Kathy Roberson. Her special sunshine and pain
