Mary Ann Petrick

Mary Ann spent her childhood in Seguin, San Antonio, Waelder, and Austin where she studied Elementary Education at the University of Texas. While at UT, she met Joseph Petrick. They married on July 27, 1957 and together raised 3 children.

After several moves, Mary Ann and Joe settled back in Austin close to their families. In Austin, they operated their family owned donut shops for 25 years until their retirement.

Mary Ann loved her family, traveling, cooking and was an expert video poker player. She adored her 3 grandsons and loved spending time with them.

Mary Ann will forever be loved and missed by her husband and children; son, David Petrick, and his wife Cynthia and grandsons Michael Petrick of Dallas TX, and Shea Petrick of Atlanta GA; daughter, Darla Bayliss, and her husband Brian and grandson Bryce of Mt. Juliet, TN; brother, Dan Taylor, and his wife Patricia of Cedar Park, as well as all of her loving brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her beloved son Darryl and sister Janell Downey.

A memorial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 30, 2017 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3003 Northland Dr., Austin, TX. A reception will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Resource Center or Covenant Presbyterian Church.
