Mary Jacqueline Taylor, 70, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2014 in Austin, Texas. She was born on July 20, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to Hubert Harshaw and Mary Allen Harshaw. She was a loving wife, amazing mother, wonderful sister, and an awesome grandma and great-grandma.
Mary enjoyed sewing, gardening, and baking for her family and friends. She gave unselfishly of herself to others. She accomplished many things in her life that were rewarding not only to herself, but to others as well. She was a member of Texas Oaks Baptist Church. Mary took the Lord and her duty as a Christian very seriously.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Mary will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Jimmy W. Taylor; beloved children, Steve Conroy, Myra Van Zandt, and Christopher Taylor; numerous grandkids and great-grandkids; sisters, Patsy Ludwig, Joanne Martin, and Trudy Quick; numerous other relatives; and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from Noon to 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2:00 P.M. Graveside Services will be at 1:45 P.M., Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
