Mary Ellen von Merz

Mary Ellen von Merz, 72, went home to be with the Lord July 17, 2006 after a brief illness in which she fought a courageous battle. She died peacefully while surrounded by her family. She was born October 13, 1933 in Georgetown, TX, to Roy and Angie Mae Hardin. She is survived by her husband Walter von Merz, daughter Julie von Merz Parker and granddaughter Melissa, Bill Thompson and wife Teresa, Kendall Collier and wife Cindy and grandchildren Walter and Lindsey, sister Wilma Love and husband Bert, brother Marvin Hardin and wife Miriam, brother John Wesley Hardin and wife Emma, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Francis Peterson and her brother J.C. Hardin. The family would like to acknowledge their appreciation of Dr. Kessler, Dr. Robinson, and Dr. Deaton and their partners and especially the ICU and Intermediate Care nursing staff at Seton Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion with Mom and our family. You were always there for Mom and us. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 20, 2006 at Weed Corley-Fish Chapel with burial following at Capital Parks Cemetery, Pflugerville.
