Mayanne S. Richardson

Mayanne Simmons Richardson, age 77, of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, September 16, 2005. She was born on May 17, 1928 in Dresden, Tennessee to Carlos H. and Lexie Dean Simmons. Mayanne served as an officer in the United States Marine Corp from 1951-1955. She was a member of Woodcliff Baptist Church in Austin. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her profound love of a good book. She is survived by her husband, Charles Richardson; her mother, Lexie Dean Simmons; daughter, Jane Carpenter and husband Mark; son Rich Richardson and wife Lori; daughter, Julia Swope and husband Mitchell; grandchildren, Anne Bullock, Becky and David Jackson, Jay and Clayton Swope, and Garin and Cody Richardson; and great-grandchildren, Lauran Bullock and Bethany and Samantha Jackson. Her father preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2005 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with Pastor David Lay officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20th at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
