Michael Anthony Harris was born in New Orleans, where he was raised with strong values of love, loyalty, and resilience that guided him throughout his life. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Michael centered his world around the people he loved most.
Michael passed away on December 24, 2025, at the age of 54. Though his passing leaves a profound void, his love and lessons will remain with all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by the many lives he touched through his kindness, humor, and hardworking spirit. Michael was known for being overprotective at times, but it always came from a place of deep love. He was loving, caring, funny, and dependable — someone who showed up when it mattered most. He also leaves behind many friends and coworkers who will remember his laughter, wisdom, and unwavering loyalty.
Michael found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, gambling, working on cars, and playing video games. Whether casting a line, fixing an engine, or enjoying a game, he brought passion and determination to everything he did. His greatest pride and joy was his six granddaughters and three grandsons, to whom he instilled the value he lived by every day: Family First.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Fresch; his children, Michael Jr. and MyChelle; his stepchildren, DeJon and Darrion; and his sister, Pearlie Sullivan.
Michael Anthony Harris leaves behind a legacy of strength, laughter, protection, and unconditional love. Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he taught and the love he gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
