From daughter Brenda Guerrero: I am heartbroken to announce the death of my father Miguel Luna, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 68 in Austin, TX. He was born September 29, 1955, in Guanajuato, Mexico.
My dad enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and family he loved fishing and the outdoors. One thing he loved the most was having a barbecue and just watching us enjoy the company of one another. Even though he could be a little stubborn there was never any doubt how much he cared for and loved each one of us.
He was a truck driver for so many years and loved what he did. His baby was the '84 Kenworth dump truck; white and blue, his two favorite colors.
He leaves behind a wife Cecilia Castro; daughter Brenda (Juan) Luna Guerrero and son Ali (Cindy) Luna; his grandchildren Jose Daniel, Angelina, Arianna, Giovanni, Nathan, Juan Jose, Julie-May, and another grandchild on the way; Mother Carmen Elizondo & Father Guadalupe Luna; along with other family members that loved him dearly.
The family would like to thank each and every one that has reached out in this difficult time.
A visitation for Miguel will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749. A funeral mass is to follow at 4:00 PM. Additional visitation hours will continue from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
