Mike Daily

Michael Daily, beloved father and grandfather, passed away in his home on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Mike was born in San Angelo, Texas on March 2, 1946. He graduated from Travis High School and went to Texas Tech University. He lived a life full of family and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Daily and his parents, Roland and Wanda Daily.

Mike is survived by his son Jeffrey Daily; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Daily, and his grandchild, Connor Daily. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Pam and Steve Seger, Greg and Maria Daily, and numerous in-laws, cousins, and several nieces and nephews.

Being the oldest of his siblings, he was looked up to by Pam and Greg. Mike was a patient and kind older brother. He thoughtfully helped them when they needed it. Mike always had a card, supportive words, or letter of love and encouragement for his family.

As Mike got older, he married his high school sweetheart, Lucy and they had a child, Jeffrey. When he wasn’t working at the family business, American Propane, Mike was a very engaged father. He frequently volunteered his time at sporting events, scouts, and more. He was a regular attendee at all of his son’s games at Austin High School.

Upon retirement, Mike enjoyed many passions including watching UT Longhorn sports, reading history books, enjoying weekly coffee and story swapping with his friends, participating in family gatherings at Lake LBJ, and playing with his grandson, Connor, who was the apple of his eye. But, perhaps most importantly of all, Mike loved spending time with his family and friends. We are eternally grateful for the years we had with him and his ability to make everyone feel cared for and loved. The memories of our times together will brighten our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may send memorial donations in honor of Michael to Mobile Loaves and Fishes.

Visitation held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday December 21, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish South Congress, 2620 South Congress Ave.

Funeral Service 11:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Followed by a reception with some of Mike’s favorite foods.

Interment will take place at Memorial Hill Cemetery.
