

Mikel Ann Boyce Corman passed away on November 1, 2024. She was born January 16, 1972 in Houston, Texas to Nancy (Walker) Boyce and Shelton W. Boyce III. She was preceded in death by her nephew Logan Boyce and grandparents Shelton and Mary Ella Boyce and Ben and Bobbye Walker.
Mikey is survived by her sons Chance and Cole Corman, her siblings Lance Boyce, spouse Susan Boyce and April McDaniel, spouse Bill McDaniel and her nieces and nephews Abigail Boyce, Peyton Boyce, Brayden McDaniel, Cody McDaniel, Addison McDaniel and Walker Boyce. She graduated from Kingwood High School in 1990 and The University of Texas at Austin with a BS in Education in 1994. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Mikey received her Masters in Education from Lamar University.
We will remember Mikey for her love of family and friends. She was the best mother, sister, daughter and friend.
We will remember Mikey for her love of traveling. She loved Lake Charles, beaches, and skiing (though she hated being cold). She often traveled with her boyfriend, Don Hamel, who she loved very much.
We will remember Mikey for her creativity and sense of style. She spent hours needle-pointing the most beautiful pieces, and her house was always decorated elegantly.
We will remember Mikey for her laugh and how she made others laugh. She was unconditionally filled with love, laughter, fun, life, and pure joy.
We will remember Mikey as a fantastic teacher. She began working as an elementary teacher in Spendora, Texas and finished at Rice ISD. She taught for 20 years and touched countless lives.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, November 7 at Austin Ridge Bible Church, 9300 Bee Caves Rd, in the main lobby.
